As a personal trainer there isn’t anything more satisfying knowing your clients are smashing the gym but also hustling in the kitchen. Commonly people will say they don’t have time to exercise with a hectic lifestyle, most parents will generously look after everyone around them at their own healths expense.

Trying to find time for exercise and eating well can often be a challenge that most see too hard to even try, let alone be consistent.

What can we do to battle a hectic lifestyle?

Being more prepared for the week ahead is a great place to start, prepping your meals on a Sunday evening will give you the assurance that you’ll have a healthy week ahead. If you rely on impulse decisions when your hungry and look for something “quick and easy” then most of the time it will be crappy manufactured refined sugars, that’ll give you a quick spike in energy but won’t fill you up for more than 1 hour thus making you snack on more bad foods. Having a game plan for nutrition will cut out a lot of bad habits.

Isn’t it more expensive to eat healthy?

I can’t disagree with this more, using the right suppliers and shops will play a big factor but trust me there are ways to cut corners if you really try. Aldi are hugely growing and by far the leading supermarket for cheap quality produce, I personally use them for things like Fruit, Veg, Eggs, Rice and Virgin oil. I’ll provide links for other places I get my nutrition from below.

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.

Put yourself in the easiest position to get results, nutrition is a big factor to not only seeing results in the gym but for just general health and wellbeing. If you feed your body with bad quality food then expect it to function the same way.

  1. I definitely need to cut out some bad eating habits. I was chatting to someone else recently about the meal planning thing and they got me super motivated to do it. This just absolutely hit it home for me now. Great article. Do you feature your writing with any other sites at all?

    1. Thanks a lot buddy. If you slowly look to adapt and cut things out day by day it will help a lot more than just taking everything straight away as this will seem to drastic and won’t be sustainable. I just post blogs on WordPress but share them to my social media ?

  2. No worries I want to spread the word as much as possible. I’ve joined the group. My Facebook fitness page is called “matt Brisbourne” it’s linked in my blog on homepage. Welcome to share the page – I’ll link my future blogs. I’m going to be pretty active ✌️
